Scotch Doubles Knockout
The Scotch Doubles Knockout is open to all players already registered and active in the 2019-2020 Winter League.
All pairings must comprise players who are both registered to play for the same team in the Waterloo League.
Any partnership including a player who is not properly registered will be disqualified immediately.
Additionally, any player wishing to enter the Scotch Doubles KO and who doesn’t have a partner, once their team has decided their pairs and all remaining members of their team are for whatever reason unavailable to participate, then they may submit their name to be included in a random partnering draw.
For obvious reasons, only 1 name from each team will be accepted!
Entry into the Doubles Knockout is set at £10 per player.
All entry money will be paid out in prizes.
All entries and entry fees should be submitted by your Team Captain to Alan or Chris on or by Friday 6th March.
No entries will be accepted after this date. Entries without appropriate fees will not be included in the draw.
The Draw will take place on or by 8th March and will subsequently be posted on the web-site.
The random draw to partner-up single players will also be made the same day.
All matches will be best of 7 frames (first to 4), with the Final being best of 9 (first to 5)
All matches will be played on designated Tuesday nights as follows:
- 1st Round(s) - Tues 10th March 2020
- Semi-Finals - Played last week of August 2021
- The Final was played Tuesday 14th September 2021- RESULTS
Please Note - In previous seasons these draw dates have been changed for various reasons, causing some players to be unavailable to play on the new dates,
So:
Whatever fixture schedule alterations are made, for whatever reason, these fixture dates will remain the same!
If you intend to progress through the draw please make sure you will be available to play on both of the above dates - there will be NO postponed matches. (This is because there will be more than 1 round played on each date)
If a player (or pair) fails to show by the appointed time, frames will be docked in the usual way until the match is handed to the opponents on a walkover.
