Waterloo - Summer League 2015
-
GENERAL RULES
-
All matches will be played on Tuesday evenings.
There has been some history of allowing matches to be played on a Wednesday night as an alternative.
This should be agreed in advance between participating captains - in the event of a dispute, Home team choice of evening will take preference.

All matches will start at 8:00

Away team must have access to the table for ten minute practice beforehand

One frame will be awarded for every 15 minutes a team is late. If a team has not arrived by 9:15, by which time the match score will have become 5-0, then the match will be officially cancelled and a 9-0 win will be given to the waiting team.

Stop-watches will be used as the 60-second rule is to be implementedHome team players will time each game, away team players will referee each game.

Summer league matches are played using the ‘Golden Cue’ format, requiring a minimum of three players per team (maximum 5 players per team per season).

Barring substitutions on either side, each player will play each other once, and no player can play the same opponent twice.

The playing-order format is as follows

(This order is to allow relatively equal number of breaks):

HOME            AWAY
Player 1   vs   Player 1
Player 2   vs   Player 2
Player 3   vs   Player 3

Player 1   vs   Player 2
Player 2   vs   Player 3
Player 3   vs   Player 1

Player 2   vs   Player 1
Player 1   vs   Player 3
Player 3   vs   Player 2

1st players will lag for break before 1st frame - following breaks will alternate throughout.

There will be no deviation from this format.

Match sheets will be laid out to reflect this.

Captains will name their STARTING THREE PLAYERS only in the first instance.

After the first round of games has been played (i.e. after three frames), captains are at liberty to make substitutions.

Further substitutions can be made after the second round of games (i.e. after six frames).Any player brought on is done so as a DIRECT SUBSTITUTE for another player, and assumes that player’s number and position in the order.

If a player is substituted, HE/SHE MAY NOT BE BROUGHT BACK ON TO PLAY.

All frames must be played. If a team decides not to complete its frames, then all unplayed frames will count as wins for the other team.

Matches are played according to World Rules.

The Home team will act as Timekeeper for all games.

The Away team will act as Referee for all games.

The referee’s decision is final.
