Waterloo Pool League AGM 2019
It is proposed that the Annual General Meeting of the Waterloo Pool League will take place at Spots & Stripes on Tuesday, 5th November 2019, at 7.30 pm
The AGM will be followed by the presentation of prizes for the 2018-19 year.

At the AGM we will, as usual, receive reports from officers of the association, discuss and vote on any motions to amend the constitution or the binding tournament rules, and elect officers to the committee.

Election of committee members:
The committee positions come up for re-election every 2 years on a staggered rolling basis.
At the 2019 AGM the positions of:
The positions of Secretary, Registrar & Tournament Director still have one year to serve.

It should be noted that as the serving Chairperson stood down at the 2017 AGM and there was no interest in this position at that time the role of Chair was vacant for the 2017-2018 year.
The role of Chair presiding at the 2018 AGM was filled by committee co-option.
The position of Chair was filled by nomination & election at the 2018 AGM, and in line with the rolling 2-year rule this position will be up for election again at the 2019 AGM

Anyone who is interested in submitting their name for election to either of the committee posts must do so in advance.
No nominations will be taken from the floor.
Anyone who wishes to submit a motion must also do so in advance. This is so the motion can be properly prepared by the committee and if necessary any ambiguities clarified.

Nominations and motions should be sent by email to the Waterloo Pool League - admin@waterloopool.co.uk by the end of the day on Sunday 27th October, and will be passed to the chair for preparation the following day.
Please provide contact details as the Chair may need to get in touch with you.
Items to be added to the normal agenda for discussion under Any Other Business should also be sent to the Waterloo Pool League - admin@waterloopool.co.uk by Sunday 3rd November.

Please contact the Committee if you have any queries.

Please also note that any individual member of the Waterloo Pool League is entitled to attend and vote at the AGM, and to stand for a post on the Committee.
An individual member is defined as anyone who has paid subscription(s) to the league in the preceding 12 months. This excludes any individual who is deemed to owe money to the league.
Non-members wishing to observe will be excluded from voting or standing for election.

We hope to see you all at the AGM where you have the chance to influence the direction and development of your league.
We value your input - please take this opportunity to help us help you.
